Prior to joining Halifax, Mr. Williams was a Director in PaineWebber's Merchant Banking Division, which he helped to establish. Prior to that, Mr. Williams was a Director in PaineWebber's Investment Banking Division, where he was responsible for the coverage of business and industrial service companies. Mr. Williams joined PaineWebber from Smith Barney Inc. where he had similar responsibilities in its Multi-Industry and New Business Development Groups. Previously, Mr. Williams was also an Assistant Vice President in the Project Finance Department of the Sumitomo Bank, Ltd. Mr. Williams currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of PolyPipe and Taylor Logistics. Mr. Williams recently served as a member of the Board of Directors of Universal Hospital Services, Maverick Healthcare Group, and MTW Corporation. Mr. Williams also serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Private Equity Finance at The University of Texas at Austin and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. Mr. Williams earned his B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and his M.B.A. from Rice University.
